Ignite functions as an ecosystem "hub," housing several specialized sub-brands under its umbrella to address different facets of the economy:
Planet Hatch: An award-winning startup incubator and co-working space.
Knowledge Park: Atlantic Canada’s largest research and technology park.
Capital Region Integration Network (CRIN): A dedicated initiative for newcomer settlement and workforce integration.

As a growing sector that is gaining more awareness with every breach, cybersecurity benefits from broad support from policymakers. Many countries are developing ‘cyber hubs’ in a conscious effort to develop cybersecurity capabilities and support new, innovative businesses. Such cyber hubs let businesses operate in complete security, enabling them to focus on their core capabilities and growing their business.

Ignite’s brand is a textbook example of a "Branded House" strategy that balances professional authority with grassroots energy. Its website needed to carry that approach forward.
While "Ignite" represents high-level strategy and community support, its sub-brands like Planet Hatch use more vibrant, energetic visual identities. This allows the organization to speak to different audiences simultaneously: the parent brand (Ignite) speaks to government and corporate investors with professionalism, while Planet Hatch speaks to young, edgy entrepreneurs.
The digital brand (the website and social presence) focuses on "Life-Stage" navigation. Instead of using bureaucratic jargon, the brand uses action-oriented headers like "I want to start a business" or "I am new to the region." This approachable branding reduces the "intimidation factor" often associated with economic development agencies, encouraging more entrepreneurs to reach out for help.
Because the brand is consistently associated with measurable "Performance Indicators" (publicly reported job creation and business starts), the "Ignite" logo has become a seal of credibility. This trust makes it easier for the organization to broker partnerships between the private sector and the government
