Who we are

That’s me, Cory Haggart. I’m the founder and Director of Strategy at Herald. No matter your project, I will work directly with you to make it a success. My career has seen me living and working in Berkeley, Maastricht, Frankfurt, Munich, Ottawa, and Victoria. My experiences have helped me build a fluency and perspective that continue to shape how I see brands, people, and culture

I’ve worked with some of the world’s most iconic and exacting brands. Over the years I’d helped brands including Intuit, Lexis-Nexis, Siemens, Unify, Hitachi Data Systems, FLIR, Teledyne Technologies, Tesla, CA Technologies, EssilorLuxottica, BrainLAB, Elekta, Varian, CRB, American Express, Shopify, Amgen, MIT, The Government of Canada, Garrett, Deutsche Bank. Each with its own story, challenges, and ambitions. The key, primarily, is asking the right questions and truly listening to the answers. Sometimes spreadsheets and databases will offer you answers, but I’ve found the most valuable ones in people…or at least the very very smart people who have looked at the numbers and formed their own story!

Having listened to thousands of stories first-hand, I learned how brands live in real lives, how narratives shape industries, and how culture and commerce meet in the everyday. Across more than two decades in brand and marketing strategy, I’ve helped companies find clarity, coherence, and conviction in a fragmented and imperfect world. This is why I founded Herald.

My areas of expertise include:

  • Marketing strategy, including brand positioning, communications strategy, value proposition development, demand/lead generation, inbound and content programs.

  • Content creation: white papers, websites, journalistic articles, infographics, case studies, headlines, online advertising

This allows us to service both small non-profits and several Fortune 500 global corporations, simultaneously.  At any point, Herald includes between six and twenty-six designers, writers, illustrators, UX designers, web developers, animators, videographers, strategists, and project managers.
